Melancia Sour Cocktail by Kevin Deidrich

Kevin Deidrich of The Burritt Room in San Fransisco created this mouthwatering Melancia Sour. "Melancia" is Portuguese for watermelon, indicating two of this cocktail's key ingredients: the Brazilian cachaca and watermelon juice. When you combine those two sweet tastes with lime and a lemongrass simple syrup you have a delightful (and rather easy) drink that will impress anyone.

For the lemongrass syrup use the tips for creating infused simple syrups, especially the other herbal syrups like the lavender or cardamom listed in this simple syrup article.
