Where some variations of a Caipirinha go to great extremes, the Chi-Town Consolation Caipirinha is one of the more simple tweaks on the popular drink. The blackberries bring in a nice touch of extra fruit that mixes well with the lime and cachaça. The other slight difference is that this drink is sweetened with a honey simple syrup rather than the plain syrup commonly used.
The Chi-Town Consolation Caipirinha was created in 2009 by Leblon Cachaca as a "consolation" drink inspired by Chicago, one of the runner up cities for hosting the 2016 Olympics.
