The Fish House Punch is one of the true classic drinks that has stood the test of time, although with such a potent mix, one too many could leave you anywhere else but standing. The interesting name refers to its origin at the Schuylkill Fishing Company (aka Fish House Club) in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The establishment was and is a private club dating back to the Revolutionary War era where fishermen would gather, eat and drink. During that time individual cocktails were almost non-existent and the punch was the customary way to drink with friends.
