This recipe is an interesting mix that is a cross between two great drinks, the Bloody Mary and the Caipirinha. This caught my eye because it uses a mashed tomato instead of canned or bottled tomato juice, which is commonly used. You can mash that tomato with your muddler, but be careful because it may stain a wooden one. The Ginger Mary is also interesting because it uses fresh grated ginger, which adds an extra flavor that is quite intriguing with the spicy mix of sauces. If you do use the pepper garnish be sure to wash your hands or handle it by the stem.
