Revolutionary Rum

From Anna Kimball of Rum Socialite, Chicago for 10 Cane Rum, for About.com

Cocktail Glass

Glass Guide- Cocktail Glass

No pun intended, but this is one of those truly revolutionary cocktails from modern mixology and we have Anna Kimball of Rum Socialite to thank for it. The mix combines a great rum (10 Cane), the phenomenal blood orange juice, a citrus infused simple syrup and a lime-mint foam in tribute to the movie Revolutionary Road. That foam is one of the first things to learn in molecular mixology and you can make it by adapting either the recipe from Jamie Boudreau on Small Screen Network or the one at Jimmy's Cocktail Hour.

Ingredients:

  • 1 oz 10 Cane Rum
  • 3/4 oz blood orange puree
  • 1/2 oz citrus-infused simple syrup
  • lime-mint foam for garnish

Preparation:

  1. Combine all ingredients into a mixing glass.
  2. Add ice and shake vigorously.
  3. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass.
  4. Top with lime-mint foam.
