The Spiced Pear Caipirini is a delightful rendition of the Caipirini, which is in itself a neat variation of the Caipirinha. This cocktail avoids its predecessors' characteristic lime altogether, opting instead for pear and lemon as the fruits of choice. Add to that the delightful spice mixture of ginger, cinnamon and nutmeg and you have a great drink for any occasion, especially those during the holidays.
Ingredients:
- 2 oz Leblon Cachaca
- 2 oz pear nectar
- 1/2 oz lemon juice
- slice of ginger
- pinch of nutmeg
- pinch of cinnamon
Preparation:
- Muddle the ginger in a cocktail shaker.
- Fill the shaker with ice and add cachaca, nectar and lemon juice.
- Shake vigorously.
- Strain into a chilled cocktail glass.
- Garnish with a pinch of nutmeg and cinnamon.
