There Will Be Rum was created to celebrate the 2008 Academy Award nomination of the film There Will Be Blood. The base of the cocktail is rather simple, Malibu rum, ruby red grapefruit juice and grenadine, but it is the Champagne that turns this drink into one worthy of watching the celebrities on the Red Carpet.
Ingredients:
- 1 oz Malibu Rum
- 1 oz ruby red grapefruit juice
- dash of grenadine syrup
- chilled G.H. Mumm Champagne
- strawberry slice for garnish
Preparation:
- Shake the rum, grapefruit juice and grenadine in a cocktail shaker filled with ice.
- Strain into a Champagne glass.
- Fill up with Champagne.
- Garnish with a strawberry slice on the rim.
