The Scorpion is one of those popular tropical rum drinks that taste great and pack an intoxicating punch. This potent cocktail is made of both light and dark rums, brandy and triple sec, with the bonus flavoring of orange juice (freshly squeezed is best). This drink will make a splash at any summer celebration or anytime you feel like escaping to the tropics.
Ingredients:
- juice of half a lime
- 1 1/2 oz orange juice
- 3/4 oz brandy
- 3/4 oz light rum
- 3/4 oz dark rum
- 1/4 oz triple sec
- lime wedge for garnish
Preparation:
- Squeeze the lime juice into a cocktail shaker with ice cubes.
- Add all of the other ingredients.
- Shake well.
- Strain into a highball glass with ice cubes.
- Garnish with the lime wedge.
