Black Sombrero

From

Old-fashioned Glass

Glass Guide- Old-fashioned Glass

The Black Sombrero is an interesting cocktail that requires the use of a particular, very interesting tequila. That would be Tanteo Chocolate Tequila, which is more complex than it sounds because not only is it infused with raw cocoa, but is backed by a little jalapeno flavor. This drink and tequila are not for everyone, yet the Black Sombrero is a nice way to enjoy the intriguing spirit. Darker liqueurs like the Kahlua here are nice pairings for it and doesn't mask the chocolate, pepper and sweet agave.

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 oz Tanteo Chocolate Tequila
  • 1/2 oz Kahlua
  • 2 oz club soda
  • lime wedge for garnish

Preparation:

  1. Combine the tequila and Kahlua in a cocktail shaker filled with ice.
  2. Shake well.
  3. Pour everything into a rocks glass.
  4. Top with club soda.
  5. Garnish with a lime wedge.
