There is a certain mystique in blue cocktails that draws us in and gets the taste buds salivating and this Blue Lagoon Margarita is one of those that does not disappoint. This Margarita is one of the few with a sparkling twist, a lemon-lime soda twist that is and 7-Up and the like are ideal for a little splash. The rest of the cocktail is made up of blue curacao, for an orange flavor and a bright blue hue, with lime (fresh is best) and pineapple juice. As with any shaken pineapple juice cocktail, this will get a little thick and foamy but it will settle in the glass.
Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 oz tequila
- 3/4 oz blue curacao
- 1/2 oz pineapple juice
- splash of lemon-lime soda
- splash of lime juice
Preparation:
- Pour the ingredients into a cocktail shaker with ice.
- Shake well.
- Strain into a chilled margarita glass.
