The Cantarito is a complex cousin of the Paloma and is another favorite of Mexico. This classic highball adds lemon and orange juice to the mix of tequila, lime and grapefruit soda. There are a few brands of soda out there that fit the bill, but Squirt is most commonly used. The juices make this cocktail and it's always best with fresh squeezed juice.
Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 oz tequila
- 1/2 oz fresh lime juice
- 1/2 oz fresh lemon juice
- 1/2 oz fresh orange juice
- grapefruit soda
- lemon, lime and orange wedges for garnish
- salt for rimming (optional)
Preparation:
- Rim a collins glass with salt.
- Fill the glass with ice and add the tequila and juices.
- Top it off with grapefruit soda.
- Garnish with the fruit wedges.
