The Catalina Margarita is a little different than most Margaritas and that is due wholly to the addition of peach schnapps. Also, you'll see that the orange liqueur has changed from the customary triple sec to blue curacao, which adds a blue color to the cocktail. The flavor is quite nice and not too fruity, not too sweet nor sour; it is very nice against the tequila's agave profile. This is also one of those Margaritas that can be blended with 1 cup of ice for a frozen treat.
Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 oz tequila
- 1 oz peach schnapps
- 1 oz blue curacao
- 1/2 oz fresh sour mix
Preparation:
- Pour the ingredients into a cocktail shaker with ice.
- Shake well.
- Strain into a chilled margarita glass.
