You can think of the Coco Margarita as a tequila Pina Colada because that is essentially what it is. This is a delicious Margarita and you will find the tequila adds a nice background for the coconut and pineapple. As with all pineapple cocktails, shaking will produce a frothy drink that will settle a bit as the drink sets, but I enjoy that texture that only pineapple juice can contribute.
Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 oz tequila
- 1/2 oz fresh sour mix
- 1 oz pineapple juice
- 1/2 oz fresh lime juice
- 1/2 oz cream of coconut
- pineapple wedge for garnish
Preparation:
- Pour all ingredients in a shaker with ice.
- Shake and pour into a margarita glass.
- Garnish with a pineapple wedge.
