Sometimes when you taste certain shooters you have to wonder why they're a shooter at all, you'd rather savor the taste. This is the case with the Mexican Samurai for me anyway, but I still serve it in caballitos (tall shot glasses, traditionally used for straight tequila) and sip and relish the combination of chilled tequila and TY KU. It's a simple mix but one in which the snap of agave is a great compliment to the fruity sweetness of the liqueur.
Ingredients:
- 2 parts TY KU liqueur
- 1 part tequila
- fresh sweet and sour mix
Preparation:
- Pour the tequila and Ty Ku into a cocktail shaker filled with ice.
- Add a dash of fresh sweet and sour mix.
- Shake well.
- Strain into a shot glass.
