This is a fantastic Margarita that has an equally fantastic flavor that's a great alternative to the everyday lime or strawberry variety. The key to the drink is Voodoo Tiki Tequila Desert Rose Tequila, a prickly pear-infused tequila with a distinct flavor filled with sweetness and refreshing finish. While the recipe below is for an up drink, this is also great on the rocks or blended with about 1 cup of ice.
Ingredients:
- 2 1/2 oz Voodoo Tiki Desert Rose Tequila
- 1/2 oz triple sec
- 2 oz sour mix
- 1/2 oz orange juice
- dash of grenadine to color
- sugar coated lime wheel for garnish
- salt or sugar for rimming
Preparation:
- Pour the ingredients into a cocktail shaker with ice.
- Shake well.
- Strain into a chilled margarita glass with a sugar or salt rim.
- Garnish with a sugar coated lime wheel.
