If you like peach cobbler, this cocktail is for you. Peach cobbler is a dessert that’s usually made during the summer when fresh, ripe, flavorful peaches are in season. With this drink you can recreate the taste of a peach cobbler year-round, and without even turning on the oven.

This cocktail is a stand-in for a dessert with peaches or a delectable party or summer drink. Serve it in an old-fashioned glass, which is a tumbler with a thick bottom.

When you make a peach cobbler, the bottom layer consists of peaches, then you add the topping. In this cocktail, it’s the other way round—you start with rimming the glass with brown sugar and graham crackers. You can use ready-to-use graham cracker crumbs, which you’ll find in the baking aisle at the grocery store, or you can crush graham crackers yourself. Make sure that they are finely crushed, as they will stick better to the rim. Larger crumbs will fall off, possibly into the glass, which does not affect the taste of the drink, but it looks less appealing. Instead of graham crackers, you can use other finely crushed cookies of your choice.

If rimming the glass with graham crackers and brown sugar is too sweet for you, you can skip the rimming or rim only half of the glass.

The signature ingredient in this cocktail is Cîroc Peach Vodka. The hazelnut liqueur adds sweetness and a nutty component. Hazelnut liqueur is a specialty of Piedmont in northern Italy. Frangelico is the most widely known brand of hazelnut liqueur. It is infused with hazelnuts and contains other flavorings, such as cocoa and vanilla. There are other brands of peach vodka and hazelnut liqueur on the market that you can use instead.

Finally, heavy cream adds creaminess to the drink. After you first mix it, the cocktail is quite thick, but you will find that as the ice melts in the glass, it gets thinner and even better.

  • Brown sugar, for rimming

  • Crushed graham crackers, for rimming

How Strong Is the Peach Cobbler?

The Peach Cobbler is a nice drink to enjoy on casual occasions. It is neither the strongest nor the weakest cocktail you can mix up, and when mixed with Frangelico, it weighs in right around 17 percent ABV (34 proof).
