Here is yet another version of a pumpkin martini and I continue to collect and share them to give you alternatives in ingredients.
What I enjoy about this recipe is that it uses a smooth cream liqueur, RumChata, which is growing in popularity and when that is paired with your favorite vanilla vodka, you have a nice base for the pumpkin flavoring and this is where things get tricky. Finding a good pumpkin-flavored liqueur is a daunting task as this is a very seasonal flavor and few companies keep producing it through the years. My best advice is to search your local liquor store for this year's offerings (but don't hold onto the fact that it will be around next year).
The other option, which I also like about this recipe, is that you can substitute a bit of pumpkin pie mix for the liqueur. If you decide to go this route, I highly encourage you to make it from scratch (the recipe link is below) or at least buy the processed pumpkin and season it yourself.
