The Apple Cin is yet another interpretation of a classic autumn flavor combination, that of apple and spice. The twist here is that yet another seasonal taste, cranberry, is thrown into the mix. The result is a fruity, spicy, semi-sweet cocktail that is a nice turn from normal. A key ingredient here is not only the apple-flavored vodka (Van Gogh) but the spiced rum. If you choose a white rum you will not have the same drink and ruin the intended taste which relies on those bold spices found in the likes of Captain Morgan or Sailor Jerry's.
Ingredients:
- 1 1/4 oz Van Gogh Wild Appel Vodka
- 3/4 oz Spiced Rum
- 1 oz Cranberry Juice
- 1/2 oz Simple Syrup
- cinnamon for garnish
Preparation:
- Add Van Gogh Wild Appel Vodka, rum, cranberry juice and simple syrup into a shaker with ice.
- Shake and strain into a chilled martini glass.
- Garnish with a dash of cinnamon.
