This is a great highball drink with an interesting flavor. I received it from Christiania Vodka, which is produced in Norway and in keeping with those origins the feature ingredient is lingonberry syrup. Lingonberries are a commonly used in Scandinavian countries for jam and the syrup can be purchased commercially from companies like Darbo. Those berries combine nicely in the Christi Extreme with fresh grapefruit juice and the spicy ginger beer.
Ingredients:
- 2 oz Christiania Vodka
- 1 oz lingonberry syrup
- 1 oz grapefruit juice
- 1/2 oz ginger beer
- lime wedge for garnish
Preparation:
- Pour the first three ingredients into a cocktail shaker filled with ice.
- Shake well.
- Strain into a collins glass.
- Top off with ginger beer.
- Garnish with a lime wedge.
