I have to thank my colleague John Mitzewich, former About.com Guide to American Food, for turning me onto another great cocktail from Colorado. This one is the Communitini and during the summer of 2009 the Arrabelle in Vail began serving this wonderful pomegranate-laced cocktail to benefit the locals. If you go to Arrabelle and order this drink $5 of the profit will be donated to the Vail Valley Charitable Fund, which helps out those who cannot afford the costs of a medical crisis. Great drink for a great cause and if you can't make it to Vail you can enjoy this pomegranate beauty at home.

Yield: 1 Cocktail
Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 oz Van Gogh Pomegranate Vodka
- 1 1/2 oz pomegranate juice
- 3/4 oz lemonade
- 3/4 oz simple syrup
- 1/4 oz fresh mint
- Sugar rim and mint for garnish
Preparation:
- Rim a chilled cocktail glass with sugar.
- Muddle the mint, simple syrup and lemonade in a cocktail shaker.
- Add ice, vodka and juice.
- Shake well.
- Strain into the prepared glass and garnish with a sprig of mint.
