The Fennel Lemon Crunch is a very interesting drink that I would recommend everyone try at least once, especially fans of black licorice. The licorice flavoring in Herb's Fennel Vodka is offset slightly by the use of basil and even more so by the lemon juice and sour mix. This cocktail takes a little more forethought than most because it uses both fresh and crunchy basil. To obtain the crunchy basil you'll need to allow some of your fresh basil to dry for at least a day, although a week is better. The trick is to have both stages of basil on hand at the same time.
- 2 parts Herb's Fennel Vodka
- 1/2 part fresh lemon juice
- sour mix
- fresh basil muddled with sugar
- crunchy basil for garnish
