Make a Vodka Martini, hold the vermouth and, instead, use ouzo - then you have a Zorbatini. Essentially, this is an anise-flavored Martini that is both subtle in flavor and potent. The amount of ouzo (a Greek anisette liqueur) you choose to you is a personal preference but this 1/4 oz is perfect for a gentle introduction or for those who love the boldness. The Zorbatini makes a great aperitif or a nice, relaxing sipper with friends and a few munchies.

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 oz vodka
  • 1/2 oz ouzo
  • greek olive for garnish

Preparation:

  1. Pour the vodka and ouzo into a cocktail shaker filled with ice.
  2. Shake well.
  3. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass.
  4. Garnish with a Greek olive.
