Martini Cocktail with Olives

Make a Vodka Martini, hold the vermouth and use ouzo instead - then you have a Zorbatini.

Essentially, this is an anise-flavored martini that is simultaneously subtle in flavor and potent. The amount of ouzo (a Greek anisette liqueur) you choose is a matter of personal preference but this 1/4 oz is perfect for a gentle introduction to the flavor that is most associated with black licorice.

Prep Time: 3 minutes

Total Time: 3 minutes

Yield: 1 Cocktail

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 ounces vodka
  • 1/2 ounce ouzo
  • Greek olive for garnish

Preparation:

  1. Pour the ingredients into a cocktail shaker filled with ice.
  2. Shake well.
  3. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass.
  4. Garnish with a Greek olive.
