The list of vodkas is a never ending one, though there are a few that can be found anywhere. The ten most popular brands of vodka include the names many of us associate with the liquor and each offers some unique flavored vodkas.

Saving money on vodka is a tricky subject because it is very easy to get a really bad and cheap vodka. There are many brands that cost around $10 for a 750 ml bottle, some are considerably better than others. Those listed below are my favorites that, depending on the market, will only pinch your pocket book for $10.

There are many vodkas on the shelves and while the big name brands get a lot of attention there are quite a few lesser known brands that produce vodka that is just as good, if not better. These are some of my favorite boutique vodkas that I recommend everyone try.

1.0.1 Iced Vodka is produced in California from grain and is a smooth, crisp vodka that is getting rave reviews for its price, quality and the premise that it is hangover-free.

360 Vodka has adopted an earth-friendly attitude that is sure to set it apart from it's competition, but the liquor is not all about the ecologically sound production, bottling and marketing, the vodka itself is really good.

Absolut Mango Vodka was released in March of 2009 and is the 10th flavor in the vodka brand's flavor portfolio. This vodka is great for creating tropical cocktails and has potential for sparking a burst of mixology creativity.

Absolut New Orleans Vodka is an infusion of mango and black pepper and is one of the best infused vodkas available. It's a limited edition vodka, the first of a series of city-inspired flavors and Absolut is donating 100% of it's profits to Gulf Coast charities.

Blavod is the only black vodka on the market and is a wonderful addition to Halloween parties or any occasion that calls for a little darkness.

Distilled from the best Idaho Russet Burbank Potatoes, Blue Ice Vodka is a smooth, clean, earthy vodka that is great for mixing into any of your favorite cocktails.

A Norweigan potato vodka, Christiana is an ultra-smooth, premium vodka distilled six times using organic potatoes and arctic spring water.

Review of the premium spirits produced by Cedar Ridge Winery and Distillery, one of the few midwest distilleries and the only legal still in Iowa. Spirits produced at Cedar Ridge include ClearHeart Vodka, a Grappa, an Apple Brandy and Lemoncella.

Dry Fly Distilling produces a whiskey, vodka, and gin in Spokane, Washington. These craft-distilled spirits are each amazing, have a wheat base and are highly recommended.

Emperor is distilled six times from select grain, then charcoal filtered and finished with spring water from the Cognac region of France. It is quite simply impressive and one of the best ultra-premium vodkas available .

Grey Goose is a brand known for producing super-premium vodkas. The full portfolio displays Grey Goose's original vodka in the elegantly subtle and true flavors of citrus, vanilla, orange and pear in Le Citron, La Vanille, L'Orange and La Poire respectively.

Review of the line of herb-infused vodkas produced by Herb's Aromatic Vodka. The flavored vodkas were introduced in 2006 and include four intensely natural flavors: Cilantro, Dill Leaf, Fennel and Rosemary.

Enjoy the result of distilling some of the finest grapes found into a distinct and silky spirit called IDOL Vodka. This silky smooth vodka, made from Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grapes is seductive and luring to any white wine enthusiast.

Imperial Exclusive Vodka is an impressive spirit for its price. It is produced in France from rectified grain which is distilled five times and combined with spring water from Normandy.

Lotus Vodkas are two nicely designed spirits which are enhanced with natural flavors. For a little extra interest, the Blue Lotus also contains caffeinated ingredients.

Modern Spirits Pumpkin Pie Vodka is completely unique to the flavored vodka market and is a seasonal release, only available in the fall, but a perfect way to create a delicious pumpkin martini.

Orange V is an organic orange-flavored vodka that is clean, smooth and showcases Florida oranges to perfection.

Organic Nation of Ashland, Oregon produces a certified organic vodka and gin that are great for mixing in cocktails.

Oval Vodka was released to the United States market in July of 2007 with the tag "Vodka's Natural Evolution." It uses a "structuring" process that surrounds the spirit with water, leaving the drinker with an ultra-smooth, ultra-clean beginning and end that is amazingly unvodka-like.

Prairie Organic is a corn-based vodka produced by Phillips Distilling Company in Minnesota. The vodka is smooth and certified organic and kosher.

The first vodka to be distilled and bottled entirely in Iceland, Reyka is a clean, green grain vodka. The distillery is run on geothermal heat and the brand's television commercials are ones not to be missed.

The creators of SKYY vodka continue to expand the flavor options for their premium vodkas to include some interesting flavors for creating some equally interesting cocktails. SKYY now produces five distinct flavors (Melon, Berry, Citrus, Vanilla and Orange) beyond their good-old stand-by clear vodka.

Sobieski Vodka is a clean vodka produced in Poland that sells for around $11 a bottle. In 2009 the vodka company released two new flavors, Vanilia and Cytron.

An herbal vodka distilled in Holland, Sonnema VodkaHERB is an intriguing vodka drawn from the Dutch traditions of producing gin.

The first vodka produced in the United States that has a certified organic growing and fermentation process as the backbone of the spirit. The result is a clean, earthy vodka that is a wonderful sipper, versatile mixer and a bottle that makes the environmentally conscious imbiber feel good.

Stolichnaya - or more popularly "Stoli" - is one of the most popular vodka brands on the market today. This is good because the majority of their vodka line up is pretty good and affordable, so when you're in doubt you can almost always rely on a bottle of Stoli being at the liquor store.
