I had the idea that I wanted a sour apple cocktail that wasn't tart like many of the Sour Apple Martini recipes out there. I do not want to pucker when I take a sip and those recipes typically use Sour Apple Pucker, which is the one thing I wanted to avoid. So, I created my own Apple Sour cocktail, one that is inspired by the classic Whiskey Sour. This version does not have a strong apple, nor a strong sour. Instead, it is a delicate balance that ended up being quite delicious. The bourbon base with the freshest apple juice you can get your hands on are key to finding the perfect Apple Sour.
