This Black and Red recipe is a close variation of the Manhattan and differs only by specifying the whiskey. Black Bush is a sweeter Irish whiskey which works really well with the sweet vermouth in this drink. The bitters are an accent and tame some of the sweetness, I like the complexity of Angostura here but Regan's Orange Bitters No. 6 adds an interesting citrus note that's nice as well.

Ingredients:
- 1 oz Black Bush Irish whiskey
- 1/2 oz sweet vermouth
- 2 dashes bitters
- maraschino cherry for garnish
Preparation:
- Pour the ingredients into a mixing glass filled with ice.
- Stir well.
- Strain into an old-fashioned glass.
- Garnish with a cherry.
