The Commodore No. 2 is quite a bit different than the Commodore [No. 1]. With only two common ingredients, grenadine and lemon juice, it is amazing that the two share a name. This is evidence that even in the early 1900's there were probably many bartenders creating drinks and duplicating names - something that is far more common today - but that's okay. This Commodore is the fancier version of the two as it is served in a champagne glass and is an equal blend of bourbon, lemon and cacao. It sounds "interesting" but is one that you may want to check out because it is quite spectacular.
Ingredients:
- 1 oz bourbon
- 1 oz creme de cacao
- 1 oz lemon juice
- dash of grenadine
