Rocky Mountain Ginger Crisp

You will find that the Rocky Mountain Ginger Crisp is a very special cocktail, one that is very seasonal as well. In this drink Cheri Loughlin, The Intoxicologist, brought together many of my favorite flavors.

For the whiskey, I recommend a good rye or bourbon. The apricot nectar can be found in most grocery stores, while the gingerbread liqueur is only available seasonally, though it is worth the wait. The sake is yet another factor, but as of recently the sparkling variety is becoming more popular and readily available. For a winter cocktail, this one is spectacular.

Yield: 1 Cocktail

Ingredients:

Preparation:

  1. Combine whiskey, Hiram Walker Gingerbread Liqueur and apricot nectar in a mixing glass.
  2. Stir.
  3. Pour into a highball glass over ice.
  4. Top with measurement of Sparkling Sake.
  5. Garnish with skewered crystallized ginger.
