Snake Bite (shooter)

By Colleen Graham, About.com

Shot Glass

Glass Guide- Shot Glass

This shooter does have a bite and its name, Snake Bite, is only appropriate. This is especially true when it is made with Yukon Jack sold in the U.S., which is a bold, biting 100 proof, as opposed to that sold in Canada which weighs in a mere (yet mighty) 80 proof. The whiskey liqueur is definitely not for the faint of heart and has a "manly" reputation and in this popular shooter it is softened just a bit with the sweet and sour of Rose's lime to create something a little more palatable, but just as potent.

Ingredients:

  • 2 oz Yukon Jack
  • 1/2 oz Rose's lime juice

Preparation:

  1. Pour the ingredients into a cocktail shaker filled with ice.
  2. Shake well.
  3. Strain into a shot glass.
