Similar to the Hot Toddy, my recipe for Warm 'n' Toasty is a fruity rendition of the classic hot drink. In this drink I've skipped the tea for hot water, but it's also great with a light lavender tea. The grenadine's fruitiness sets off the bourbon's sweet and bitter qualities. Best of all, it's all warmed up so it's perfect for a lazy winter day.
Ingredients:
- 2 oz bourbo
- 1/4 oz fresh lemon juic
- 1/4 oz grenadin
- hot water to fil
- orange wheel for garnis
- cinnamon stick for garnis
Preparation:
- Pour the bourbon, lemon juice and grenadine into an Irish coffee glass.
- Fill with hot (not boiling) water.
- Garnish with a cinnamon stick and orange wheel.
