I'll admit, I generally hate flavored whiskies. Most taste cloying and artificial, and I like my whiskies to taste like whiskey. Only once have I ever tasted a flavored whiskey and thought it was absolutely outstanding and that was Jack Daniel's Tennessee Honey. Tennessee Honey is the perfect marriage of true honey flavor and the rich, authentic taste of Jack Daniel's and will appeal to both whiskey aficionados and those new to the world of whiskey.

On the nose, Jack Daniel's Tennessee Honey features a light, sweet honeyed aroma with undertones of that classic, sugar maple charcoal mellowed Jack Daniel's whiskey underneath. The people at Jack Daniel's are promoting Tennessee Honey as a cold shot as well as a sipping whiskey. The shot machine produces an amazing drink, but as its cold, only a very light honeyed note is detectable.

Body and Palate

Jack Daniel's Tennessee Honey has the same body and mouthfeel as classic Jack Daniel's. Its flavor profile tastes like classic Jack mixed with the best local Tennessee honey and its perfect on its own or mixed with things like lemonade, ginger ale or cola. This is simply a delicious blend of honey and Jack Daniel's and the result is an outstanding product that will be a versatile addition to restaurants, nightclubs and home bars. Ski resorts will find Jack Daniel's Tennessee Honey to be an essential addition to their bar programs for apres ski drinks and this whiskey should be a bar staple at most establishments in the country in short order.

The finish on Jack Daniel's Tennessee Honey is clean and sweet, making it a perfect mixer or great as a chilled shot on its own. Quite simply, Jack Daniel's Tennessee Honey is a brilliant extension of the Jack Daniel's line and will be enjoyed by both whiskey enthusiasts and newcomers to the world of whiskey. If you enjoy flavored vodkas, don't miss Jack Daniel's Tennessee Honey as the flavors of whiskey and honey produce a product that has a deeper, richer and far more enjoyable flavor profile than any vodka could ever hope to achieve.

This seems to be a love it or hate it drink from the reviews so far. Unfortunately I'm on the ""hate it"" end. I literally could *not* drink it and poured it down the drain. Sickeningly, cloyingly sweet. Maybe I could have gotten it down mixed with lemonade or tea, but why force myself to drink something I really couldn't stand? Makes no sense. I love the Seagram's 7 Dark Honey, but I saw the stellar reviews for the Jack Daniel's so thought I'd give it a try. Very disappointed. Back to the Seagram's 7 Dark Honey for me.
