What is the focus of your blog?
My Life on the Rocks features my experiences as a bartender, cocktail creations, spirits reviews, tips and tricks from a professional's viewpoint and stories about life behind the bar.
What is your experience?
I've been a professional bartender for over 16 years and a spirits and cocktails journalist for the last several years. I've traveled the world seeking out new spirits and cocktails and toured distilleries in places as diverse as Kentucky, Scotland and Spokane Washington. Being based out of Portland Oregon, I have unique access to some of the finest craft distillers in America and insight to the behind the scenes workings of them. The Beverage Network named me one of the 10 Trendsetting Mixologists in America in 2008 and I currently tend bar at the only restaurant in the United States that ages and bottles its own craft whiskey in house.
