Your tequila cocktail recipe.
1 ounce ( or part ) 100% Agave Silver Tequila
2 ounces ( or parts ) Rice Milk
Pour over ice in Cocktail shaker
Shake 10-15 seconds
Pour into glass
Artfully sprinkle dashes of cinnamon ( fresh ground would be ideal )
Your inspiration.
This was inspired by a common refreshing Latin American and Spanish drink called Horchata, minus many ingredients, in order to hit just the most basic and beautiful parts. In this case, more closely following the Mexican version - using rice.
And finally, tequila - a spirit risen out of a plant blue and turquoise like a painters sky rising out of a volcanic desert.
Advice
- One may be tempted to use lime, it sours the drink a little too much, this is not a margarita. If anything, maybe additions of vanilla, or shaved chocolate.
- Ice is critical, this is not supposed to be a room temperature drink, otherwise it loses the refreshing horchata drinkability.
